Introduction

The Phil & Teds Classic buggy is a very thrifty pushchair indeed! Not only is it great value for money in terms of quality, but it is super adaptable to suit your family. The Classic buggy is the most basic model in the Phil & Teds inline buggy range, but is still jam packed with lots of amazing features.

The Classic buggy weighs 11.5kg (without double kit). The main seat unit can take a weight of up to 20kg, and the double kit (sold separately) can take 20kg in the front position and 15 kg in the rear position.

Practicality & Comfort

The Classic buggy seat unit features a 5-point padded safety harness and comfortable padded seat for your child. If you would like more padding for the seat, then phil & teds have a range of comfy seat liners (sold separately) which add extra comfort and are available in a range of colours to personalise your buggy.

The main seat can be easily adjusted to 3 different recline positions. Your child can be positioned in the fully upright position to see the world, slightly reclined for relaxing, or fully reclined in the lay-flat position for napping.

The classic has a generous sun canopy which can be adjusted to follow the sun, offering your child maximum protection from the sun. The shade coverage for this canopy really is great, and it also comes complete with a flick-out sun visor too.

The foot brake on the Classic is robust and easy to apply. Simply press down on the bar to apply the brakes which locks both rear wheels, and lift the bar with your foot to release again…it couldn't be easier.

The Classic comes complete with a large shopping basket, its a good size which allow you to keep your baby and toddler changing bag, or perhaps a bag of shopping. One thing to remember is that access and space in the shopping basket is greatly reduced

Folding

The Classic buggy is so easy to fold that you can do it with just one hand! The buggy has a simple pull and slide release catch located at the front of the buggy, but don't worry that catch is out of your child's reach but is still easy for you. The Classic folds quickly and smoothly in one action…no more time wasting!

Manoeuvrability

The Classic buggy features 3 large air filled tyres, which helps the Classic to feel at home in an urban or country side environment. The single front wheel can be left in swivel mode to help easily navigate the urban streets and shopping centres, or it can be locked into place making tackling more uneven terrain such as cobbles, gravel or sand a breeze. Also because the Classic is the same width as a normal pushchair even when carrying two children, it fits through doorways easily.

Adaptability

The Classic buggy can be used as a single pushchair for one child, which is suitable to use from birth until approximately 6 years. Or if you require you can purchase the phil & teds Double Kit seat, which is a second seat unit to create an inline tandem buggy for two children. The double kit seat does not recline on the Classic buggy and does not include it's own sun canopy, although this can be purchased separately.

The Classic buggy is so adaptable and this is what we love about it. In total there are 7 different configurations or modes that the Classic buggy is designed to be used in. Below are details of these modes:

Newborn or Toddler: The Classic buggy main seat unit is designed to be used from birth to 6 years. Although the seat unit is suitable for newborns, If you wish you can also purchase a soft cocoon to fit on to the pushchair seat, the Peanut bassinet or a car seat with the use of adapters.

Newborn & Toddler: As we mentioned earlier the Classic buggy can be easily transformed into an inline buggy to transport both a newborn baby and a toddler. With the addition of the Classic double kit seat both new-born and toddler can ride in comfort and style! The double kit seat can be used to attach to the front of the buggy, in front of the main seat, so that your newborn can be lying flat in the main seat. Or it can be attached to the rear of the Classic, behind the main seat unit.

2 Toddlers: The Classic is suitable for use with 2 toddlers, for this option simply attach the double kit seat to the rear of the pushchair, and either toddler can sit in either seat…easy peasy!

The great thing about the Classic V2 is that when using the double kit on the rear of the pushchair, it is safety certified for carrying just one child in the double kit seat. So no need to worry if the child in the double kit seat wants to stay napping whilst the front seat child wants to get out and run around in the park….the buggy wont tip up.
