About
As with all Maclaren pushchairs, the Techno XT has a high performance aluminium frame, that is extremely strong, yet very light weight. Maclaren are so confident with the quality of their pushchairs, that they offer a Sovereign lifetime warranty on the frame of every pushchair they manufacture (now that’s peace of mind to any parent!). The weight of the XLR (without hood, shopping basket or raincover) is 7.5kg or 16.5lbs.
The XLR has a 5 second one hand fold mechanism (very useful when your trying to juggle several things at once!). Also it has a compact umbrella fold, making it easy to store away or for fitting in the boot of your car. A carry strap adds to making the XLR really easy to carry and transport.
The Maclaren Techno XLR has front and rear wheel suspension for an extra smooth ride for baby, and also easy pushing over different terrains for mum and dad. It has sleek satin finish handles with coordinating buckle. They are also height adjustable handles, which means parents no longer have to hunch over the pushchair, they make sure they are at a perfect height for them.
Ease Of Use
The seat is comfy and cosy with nice cushioning for baby, included with the XLR is a coordinating head hugger and shoulder pads. The seat is removable and washable (this is a must have with sticky little fingers about!), and comes with a reversible seat liner. The seat has a one hand recline system, which reclines to four different positions, allowing baby to lay nearly flat when they are sleeping. An extendable and adjustable leg rest allows the XLR to grow with your child, always helping to keep them as comfortable as possible. It has a five point 2 tone colour safety harness for added security, and a height adjustable shoulder harness for a perfect fit.
The ergonomically optimised handles make for comfortable pushing for mum and dad. The large square water resistant hood gives fantastic coverage over your little one. It comes complete with a UV protective viewing window and sun visor, and extra panel for added sun protection. Handy storage pockets on the back of the hood are perfect for storing keys, phone, purse etc. (things you may want quick access to). Reflective accents around the hood are there for added safety at night. The Wheel size is 16.5cm or 6.5in, and the hubcaps are also reflective for safety at night.
Lockable front swivel wheels, allow for effortless manoeuvring in town and cities, or equally in the countryside. Switch the wheel to lock mode when going over bumpy terrain for a smoother ride for baby, and for easier pushing for mum and dad.
The Techno XLR’s generous mesh shopping basket is great for transporting any daily essentials you may need when out and about. The foot operated linked parking brakes are easy and simple to apply. The XLR’s rain cover fits snugly over and keeps your little angel cosy and most importantly dry!
