Introduction

The BabyStyle Oyster is a mid-price range pushchair, which is suitable from birth to approximately 3 years.

The Oyster Pushchair has become a major success story for brand BabyStyle, and they have continued to reinvent the product with new funky colour packs and fancy looking frames.

The Oyster comes in two base colour choices,either silver or satin black. The silver option includes a silver chassis (frame) and a black seat unit. The black option comes with a black chassis and black seat unit.

Once you have chosen your base colour chassis, you then need to choose an oyster pushchair colour pack. The colour pack includes the pushchair hood and seat liner to add some colour to your Oyster. There are 13 colour pack colours to choose from!

Comfort:

When used with the Oyster colour pack seat liner, the seat looks really comfortable and padded. The pushchairs 5-point safety harness threads through the liner easily. The colour packs also make it look really striking, as the black base colour of the seat offer a great contrast to the bright colour pack. Also included in the colour pack is the pushchair hood, which is enormously generous and offers optimum coverage and shade to your child. It also features a covered viewing window to check on your little one.

The seat has 3 recline positions, your child can be seated upright, at a medium recline or completely flat out! The seat can also be forward or rearward facing, and has all 3 recline positions available in either seat position.

The seat is easy to remove from the chassis, and clicks back on again simply by locating the brackets into the cockiest and waiting until you here a 'click'.

There is an adjustable calf rest for your child comfort, it is simply adjusted by buttons located either side of the seat unit. A bumper bar is included with the pushchair which gives extra protection to and security to your child. Should you prefer, the bumper bar can be completely removed.

Practicality

The Oyster chassis is easy to fold and is quite compact when folded. To fold the chassis, there are two sliding buttons located under the left and right of the handle which activate the fold…but remember the right button will not work unless the safety catch on top is depressed.

The handle bar then moves forwards, towards the front wheels, where with a strong push it will lock into place, forming a compact pushchair (62cm x 55cm x 85cm). To achieve this compact fold the seat needs to be folded all the forwards.

To open the pushchair, simply release the catch that keeps it locked shut near the right back wheel and pull the handle up. The frame then springs open in one easy action.

The brake is located in the middle of the rear axle, and simply pivots on and off with ease. (flip flop friendly).

To further reduce the size of the Oyster when fold you can easily remove both the back and rear wheels. To release the rear wheels you need to press the buttons to the left and right of the brake on the back chassis. The front wheels can be removed using the small buttons on the front of their mounting.

The wheels are plastic moulded wheels, so no risk of a puncture. The front wheels are lockable swivel wheels, and can be adjusted according to the type of terrain you are encountering. The suspension on the Oyster is excellent, and it allows for comfortable and easy manoeuvring for parents and a comfy ride for baby.

The Oyster comes with a medium size shopping basket, its not the largest on the market, but it is sufficient to fit your essential shopping bits.

Travel System Compatible:

The BabyStyle Oyster can create the perfect from birth travel system, simply by purchasing either the Oyster Car Seat and adaptors or the Maxi Cosi Pebble car seat and adaptors.

To turn your Oyster into a lovely lay flat pram, simply purchase the Oyster smooth black carrycot. You can also add the Oyster carrycot colour pack (carrycot hood and apron) to brighten it up.

Accessories:

Included with the Oyster is a raincover designed to fit the pushchair perfectly, it is easy to throw over the frame and there are two straps at the back to stop it from blowing off.

The Apron included attached easel onto the seat and under the bumper bar. Remember it is not a substitute for a warm footmuff, but it does add some warmth and protection from the elements.
